#3 Real-E

I felt that the segment on Wall- E is exactly where society seems to be taking itself. How far from the truth is that of the life of the people who play wow.

Then there are the consumer sheep as I will call them. An example of them would be the part in the movie where the intercom told them that the blue was the next red. That reminds me of all of the apple commercials. And people waiting in line with the dire urgency to aquire the latest technology even though the only thing that changed was the shape… Honestly how many people know the difference between the iphone 4 and 4S? But you can bet your bottom dollar that they stayed up all night to give away $500 because its new.

Then there was the guy who fell out of his hover craft. If this happens in real life, it only means that the crossfitters didn’t make it, and died off from broken backs. The guy couldn’t get up. It reminds of the show the 10 ton woman, where they had to cut that woman out of her house. And then she lost 50 lbs just by doing arm circles…incredible.

All in all, I felt that clip was right in light with the route societies going.  Kids are being told to be home by the time the lights come on anymore because they don’t leave.  The worlds view of exercising has being replaced with a game of hungry hippos, in which where trying to gobble down value meals and big gulps because ‘it’s a recession’. Social media has ruined face to face relationships. Texting is replacing our vocal chords. Soon newborns will have to come equipped with an aux jack.
