The closer
we get to hover boards and virtual reality the further we get away from the
natural world. Just as the YouTube video with the facts says that people are
learning about jobs that don’t exist. How long is it before there is an
engineering degree for people what want to learn how to regulate air? All the
things in the video above represent technology. I believe the use of the word
technology is: a manner of accomplishing a task especially using technical
processes, methods, or knowledge.
The
duality of technology frightens me. The fact that soon a computer will out-function
me is more than a little disturbing. Also I find it incredible that we have
come so far as a civilization that a news paper knows more than someone in the
18th century would know in their whole lives. The fact that
technology grows at such a rapid rate makes knowledge power. Its power because
I feel knowledge will no longer be needed when we’re replaced with windows 250.
Good start here but you need more. Continue to push yourself to make connections. For example, expand further on the "duality of technology" you mention. There's a lot here that you are only scratching at.
